06-10-05 Minke Whale Washed-up
Today's big news is that the body of a Minke whale was washed-up on Carradale Beach this morning.

Approximately 30ft long, this was an adult whale with no obvious signs of collision damage.

I'm told plans are afoot to remove it from the beach before it becomes a health hazard. It's already pretty smelly! I'm hoping the powers-that-be will decide to pack it with dynamite and explode it, like they did in Florence, Oregon USA in 1970.
