30-08-06 Wind Down to Autumn

As the beginning of September looms ahead of us it seems as though the summer is winding down here in Carradale.

The Glen Bar is reverting to its winter timetable of closing all day on Tuesdays; the Network Centre has served its last tea of the season, and the weather is definitely starting to cool down.

That being said there will still be plenty of things going on in the village over the autumn and winter months.

A quick update on the football. I wasn't able to get along to the Dalriada Cup Final last weekend but Davie Paterson of the popular Visit Kintyre website took some great photos of the match which he has put online at Dalriada Cup Final Photos. They're really impressive.

Subject: Carradale Win The Cup!

Well done to the team – we were at the match briefly but were unable to join them in celebrating at the glen later. Hopefully Nonnies nerves have settled a bit now! I also wanted to say well done to Shelagh, Ali and their helpers for another excellent night at the Network Centre for its last night on Saturday. The curry night was a great success and was enjoyed by all.
