30-05-07 Marathon Man Limps Home Victorious
Carradale's very own Marathon Man had an eventful weekend when he competed in the Mull of Kintyre Half Marathon, being held for the second time in Campbeltown.

Despite suffering an Achilles Tendon injury part way round the course Jackie Willis didn't let it beat him and limped home to claim his medal.

After weeks of training for the event it must have been a bitter blow to be officially recorded as 'Last Man Home', but by persevering Jackie secured his sponsorship money, thought to be in the region of £400, for the MacMillan Cancer Care charity.
