Today we received sad news that our long time friend John passed away peacefully yesterday.
John was one of the four Yorkshire men from Morley,whom have been coming to Carradale annually for well over 30 years to the campsite and now log cabins Carradale Bay.With his friends (who are all neighbours) Keith,Terry and Dave they looked forward to travelling up each year (Whitsun week) for a relaxing time in the wee village,meeting up again with old and new friends in the local pubs (the Glen Bar being their favourite).
Sadly this year was not to be for John as he was diagnosed with an incurable illness in February and given a short time to live making his trip to Carradale impossible.In that short time he and his family,friends put everything into making these last few months together something to remember for ever.John passed away yesterday (Saturday) peacefully with family and his friend Terry by his side.
This year may be the last of the Morleys,apart from Terry who may still come.John will be sadly missed by ones who new him and our condolenses go out to his wife Christine and the family at this sad time.His funeral service is on Wednesday 6th Nov 2013 which we both shall be going down to.
