27-07-09 Aileen Gibson (nee Coats)

I was e-mailed this message and asked to post on the website that Aileen passed away today.

Dear Goat,

I used to live with my mother Aileen Gibson, (nee Coats) and my sister Sara in Carradale at mains cottage from 1985-1990. I now live in Belfast.
My mother had many friends and was very active in the village during the time we lived there.
She died peacfully today following a brief illness at the age of 51.
I'd be very grateful if you could maybe post a message on the website to let these poeple know as I've lost touch with many of the people mum knew except for the McCormicks at Mains farm.

The attached picture is of my mum at Carradale beach in the 80's.

Vicky and Sara please accept our deepest sympathy on the very sad news
of the death of your mother. Your mum and I were really good friends
in Carradale and we all had a lot of great times together and we have
many fond memories of these times. Aileen was a lovely person always
full of fun, and with a heart of gold. If she could help in any way
she was always there, nothing was too much trouble for her, and I was
proud to have her as a friend. We are all thinking of you both and
your families at this very sad time.
