The annual event held each year in the Carradale Hotel Cruban Bar again was well supported with entrants male and female.
And speaking of females our local lass (well now living and working in Glasgow) Anne MacAlister can be congratulated for being runner up against a stiff opposition from the males.
The winner was Paul Stamp who has moved into the area doing some diving now and again with the local chaps.Andrew Charlwood passed me on some pics and info to post and again the lads Andrew,Charles,Scott and AJ do a great job in running this annual event along with the help of the wifes,partners and friends.
All the proceeds go to the FISHERMENS MISSION and raised this year so far was another grand sum of £1365 (updated now £1400) which will be presented later.The family Jean,Dougie,Donald and lads would like to thank all who supported the event, Carradale Hotel-Marcus-Morag and Tom for venue and snacks.For all the donations of raffle prizes to name some, Josie at the Network Tearoom,Campbeltown Fire & Rescue,Mary Semple (Semples),Bakers(Patersons)Scottish Tablet Company,Riverside Garage Lochgilphead,Carradale Hotel and all the others too numerous to mention.
