A view from our home at Toshs Park,Carradale with a lovely Thursday morning 25th Jan to a wild very wet and windy Friday 25th.Todays weather (Fri 25th) caused severe flooding all over and especially in Campbeltown with our crew from Carradale fire & Rescue Service being paged to assist with street and home flooding.I have never seen flooding like it in all my years,originally from the town and moved to Carradale in my teens.In places it was over 3 feet deep,a torrent of water running through the town streets in the Milknowe area,Saddell Street,John Street,Kinloch road just for a few.
The two Campbeltown Fire appliances along with ourselves Carradale and Tarbert were on flood duties for many hours,Carradale returning back to station after midnight.
