25-12-04 White Carradale Christmas
We woke this Christmas Morning to steadily falling snow in Carradale. Throughout the day it has continued to fall and the whole area is now covered with a thin blanket of crisp whiteness. The children, of course, can barely believe their eyes. Other parts of Kintyre have had heavier showers and the road down to Campbeltown was described as treacherous this morning.

I took the Landrover down to the harbour earlier this afternoon. The water was glassy calm and the views across to Arran were breath-taking.

The Glen was open at lunchtime for pre-booked Christmas Dinners only, but is open for normal business again this evening so I'll be trotting along later to see who was given the worst woolly jumper this year.

I was sitting here at work...daydreaming about Scotland. I have visited twice... 2 weeks in June 2002 and 2 weeks in June 2004. Lord willing I will be back in June 2006. This time I want to visit the islands of the west coast. That is how I got to your site. What a beautiful area you live in!! The snow at Christmas was wonderful as are all the pictures you have on line.
