Goal-scorers for Carradale were Travis Tiffin (2), Neil Brown, and Scott Gosling. According to coach Nonnie McAllister it was a hard match with Northend Thistle putting up a good fight.
Meanwhile also this afternoon saw the annual Carradale Duck Race on the river from Dippen down to Waterfoot. Despite recent rainfall the water was sluggish, perhaps due in part to the incoming time, and at one point the ducks appeared to be swimming against the flow!
Turnout was excellent despite brisk conditions and by the finish there was little left on the BBQ bar kippers. Well done to everyone involved.
Tonight sees the first Carradale performance by The Hugh Trowsers Band and The Wild Sarachs. Everyone is getting geared-up for a great night of entertainment and speculation is rife as to the identity of the 'mystery guest'. Will it be Elvis? Will it be Lord Lucan? Might it even be Shergar? We'll all have to wait and see...
