Carradale's Fire Station Crew Manager Robert Strang was presented with the fire service medal for 20 years sevice at the station tonight.
Fellow Carradale firefighters and members of the Campbeltown team along with his family attended.
Area Commander Paul Connolly (first pic presenting the medal) praised Roberts dedication and commitment to the fire service.Roberts son Gareth also followed in his dads footsteps when he joined Carradale and then on to be a retained firefighter at Campbeltown.Gareth is pictured with Robert.
Robert was presented with gifts by fellow firefighter Marlene Walker and Ronnie Soudan from Campbeltown fire Station.The Carradale crew front of group photo are John Paterson,Marlene Walker,Robert Strang,Lorna Campbell,Eila Durnan and Johnny Durnan.
The crews would like to thank Roberts wife Cheryl for laying on the excellent buffet.Robert and family last pic.
