Ms Evie Strath,a retired headmistress and resident at ABBEYFIELD HOUSE CARRADALE along with the other residents,staff and some friends enjoyed a small birthday tea party.Seated to Evies right is her friend Vicky with to her left is resident Margaret Causton originally from Saddell.
Evie has lived at the home for the past nine years and enjoys it very much passing the time making crochet hats which she did sell for a small profit all over the country,but winding down now that she is nearing the big one hundred.
Evie enjoys telling others her tales a stories of her life growing up and of her job as headmistress in varies schools throughout the country and on the islands,she has quite a memory for an elderly lady.She recently met some of her former pupils at a friends birthday celebration up in Brig o'Turk near Callander.
