Carradale AFC's unbroken series of home wins was broken yesterday afternoon when Southend AFC beat them by 6 goals to 2. Carradale goalkeeper Steven was kept very busy with a lot of goal-mouth action. He and the rest of the defense did well to keep stave off an even greater defeat.

This was Carradale's first match wearing their new red and white strip. Photos from the match in the usual place.

Both of Carradale's goals came from the Bates, including a penalty. Southend fielded a strong side and included a guest appearance by Davie P, more recently known as the operator of the Visit Kintyre website.		[Carradale AFC]


Onto other things, there's to be a Whist Drive in the village hall on Friday 4 November 2005, at 7:30pm.

The next meeting of the East Kintyre Community Council will be held in the village hall on Thursday 3 November 2005, at 7pm.

Finally, don't forget the Halloween Party in The Glen Bar on Saturday 29 October 2005, at 8pm. Over 18s only.
