23-08-06 Zero Gravity Action
Plenty of action down on Carradale Beach yesterday as a group of kite-surfers descended upon the Carradale Bay to practise their sport in the shallow water and steady on-shore wind.

The surfers use large semi-dirigible kites to tow themselves through the waves on quite short boards, utilising the power of the wind to get up to some quite remarkable speeds and to perform airborne tricks by using the lift from their kite to take them completely out of the water!

There are plenty of photos to see in the Kite-Surfing Gallery
