Today the Carradale based Lakeland Marine (salmon farm company) setup and laid out 4 moorings off Carradale harbour for visiting vessels to use.Pictured are Lakeland employees setting up the moorings aboard their fishfarm boat before going out and dropping off at their specific points.All the gear,chains,anchors,buoys etc were supplied by the company free of charge,all equipment costing in the region of £6,000.
A welcome facility for yachts and a big thank you to Lakeland for their contribution.
There is an overnight fee of £10 for the use of the moorings and that can be paid into the honesty box (yellow in colour) located at the quay brae as you turn down to the carpark.
