Wednesday Workshops - Interested in arts and crafts, and maybe making and selling your own work? If so then drop in to the Network Centre tearoom on Wednesday, 25 January 2006 between 11am and 2pm and Shelagh will tell you all about Wednesday Workshops.
The next EKCC meeting is on Thursday, 2 February 2006 in Carradale village hall from 7pm. Amongst items on the agenda are Wellpark fencing, relocation of recycling bins, Torrisdale jetty, the Spout Wood, Tosh's Park and Hill 60 road conditions, over-taking signs, and Windfarm Trust applications.
There are a couple of new websites that I've been asked to mention.
The first comes in an email from Ron Steenvoorden who describes his website "Islay, Queen of the Hebrides" as the most complete Islay guide, and it's packed with information, some excellent photography, and a message forum.
The web address is www.islayinfo.com
The second new site is promoting Campbeltown Airshow 2006 which is set to take place over the weekend of 22-23 July 2006 on the airfield at Machrihanish.

Great site, brings back many happy memories. My mother comes from Carradale, Anne Rodgers (nee Mitchell). Used to spend school holidays with my gran at Tor Mor (Annie Mitchell). Still get back down now and again. Big hello to all, especially Bill Mitchell of Shore Cottage down by the pier.

Hi there, many thanks for answering my Port Righ query!
So it is the same story as Skye's Portree, just a different king - I should have guessed really!
Thanks again!
