21-02-05 Antlers Locked
A bumper edition of Carradale's newsletter, The Antler, dropped through our letterboxes at the weekend.
Not surprisingly there was quite a bit of coverage given to the events of the last Community Council meeting, particularly with regards to the behaviour of councillors and public, inaccuracy of the minutes, and accounts irregularities.
Other topics mentioned include proposed repairs and upgrading of Carrdale Harbour, the cod farm that may or may not end up based at Carradale, and how much the Council Tax is going to cost us this year.
Steph and the kids arrived home yesterday evening from a weekend visiting friends back on Mull. Our eldest son has stayed for a couple more days and will make his own way home on Tuesday.
She had a bit of trouble with the Landrover over-heating near to Kennacraig but was rescued by our local Policeman, Malcolm Hannah, who got her safely back on the road home again.
During the night we had several inches of snow. The bright and unseasonably-warm subshine had melted a great deal of it by lunchtime however.
With the kids on half-term holiday the house is full of noise and activity. Not the best environment for someone who works from home but tucked-away in my office upstairs all is tranquil.
