Carradale Surgery Sponsored Walk
Carradale surgery would like to thank everyone who supported us in our fundraising for the local Red Cross Transport. On Saturday June 15th, which must have been one of the wettest days of the year, surgery staff set out to walk the planned seven mile route for our sponsored walk. Despite getting very wet in the initial dreadful weather, everyone was in good spirit and once the sun emerged later, several carried on to do 9 miles in total.
The magnificent total of £683 was raised between sponsorship for the walk itself and further money raised at the surgery stall at the Harbour Day on 6th July, where there was an opportunity to guess how many calories Dr Elder burned during the walk. The answer to this was 1159 calories and the prize was won by Jim Galbraith, who was closest. Zoe Gosling won the children’s prize.
