19-06-08 Sub-Sighting in the Sound
Our Grogport correspondent sent us this photograph of one of the UK's Trident nuclear submarines that he spotted on the surface of the sea, just off of Peninver on Wednesday.

Distance makes identification impossible but it's clearly one of the Royal Navy's Vanguard class SSBN submarines.

The tug alongside is similarly unidentified. It does bear some resemblance to Campbeltown's resident tug Beaver Bay but SD Tormentor was also spotted on AIS as being in the viscinity. Either way it's largely obscured by the hull of the submarine.		[Submarine off of Peninver]
