Kintyre to Hunterston subsea power cable project.

The Goat received this information from Deborah Bowie.

Hi Johnny,

I am the Community liaison manager for the Kintyre Reinforcement & Crossaig/Hunterston transmission project.
There may be a few people conducting site investigations in and around the local community over the next few weeks, so I thought it might be useful to provide a summary of what they are doing, in advance.
I would greatly appreciate if you could put the following update on your website to inform the community:

During May, SHETL are undertaking geotechnical site investigations and site visits for the Kintyre Reinforcement & Crossaig/Hunterston transmission project.
This will help ascertain the suitability of the proposed locations while mitigating damage to the environment and disruption to the community.
This is an early stage of the project and any major milestones will be communicated with stakeholders in due course.
The Kintyre Reinforcement project is vital to help meet Government targets and increase the security of supply for local residents and businesses.
If you require any further information, please contact deborah.bowie@sse.com or see KINTYRE/HUNTERSTON for updates.

Many thanks,

Deborah Bowie
