	There's a lot going on next weekend with both the Carradale Fun Run (Saturday 27 May) and the Mull of Kintyre Half Marathon (Sunday 28 May). The Carradale Fun Run is organised by the Parents and Teachers Association and will be a mile or so along the sands to raise money towards paying the transport costs for children from the village school to attend events outside of the immediate area. Sponsorship forms can be had from the school office and fancy dress is encouraged. The Mull of Kintyre Half Marathon has been months in the planning and is now fully subscribed. We're expecting runners from far and near. In addition to the half marathon there is also a 10k route for those not up to the 13 miles of the full course. Let's hope that both events attract good weather for runners and supporters alike.
	More returning migrants are arriving with Swallows being spotted the other day, joining the squadrons of House Martins wheeling and soaring above our heads. Our garden feeders continue to attract birds with Great Tits making an appearance this morning. We've setup a new webcam to show the view of one of our bird feeding stations. We had another delicious meal down at the Ashbank Hotel the other evening and see that they now offer both a home delivery and a take-away service. Menus have been printed-up and can be found in either Post Office, or the shop.
