18-06-05 Dalriada Festival 2005
The Dalriada Festival starts this weekend at Cairnbaan, near Lochgilphead. Running from 19 June 2005 until the 26 June 2005 it celebrates the people and landscapes of Scotland's birthplace.
There's a schedule of events on the Dalriada Project Website.

It's distinctly weird weather we're having at the moment. Not wet as such but very low cloud and mist obscuring the Isle of Arran and much of the surrounding countryside. It's not cold though and the midges are still biting. Perhaps the only place to get away from them is out on the water.

We've had some interesting emails from people about the damage to the pavilion. They all remark upon how sad it is to see such things happening in Carradale and hope it isn't an indication of a new trend. Many of these people have been visitors to Carradale over a number of years.

The webcam is also proving to be a popular feature so I think we'll keep it for now. I'd like to put another on-line, perhaps showing some of the visitors to our garden bird-table. The cameras I use cost well over a hundred pounds though so it'll have to wait until I've got a bit of spare cash.
