17-12-12 Welcome To Our New Minister
For Carradale and Southend.
Last Saturday, 15th December, at Southend Parish Church the Rev Steven Fulcher, was inducted into the new charge of Saddell and Carradale linked with Southend. Along with the new linkage, the members of Presbytery also produced a first... perhaps a sign of the times, as for the first time it was two church Elders and an Auxilliary Minister who were officiating . Moderator Mr Donald MacKinnon (Kilmore and Oban), Rev Catriona Hood (Auxilliary Minister) and Mr Ian Maclagan (United Church of Bute).
Southend Church had been vacant since June 2009 and Carradale since May 2011, Rev Fulcher and his wife Chris, who was also recently ordained as a minister, will stay in the manse at Southend. The service was followed by a social and presentations at St Blaans Hall.
