17-12-06 Time for Torrisdale
After the last few days' foul weather it was nice to be able to get out and about again in the cool but sunny weather today, so we took a trip across to Torrisdale Bay and gave the kids a bit of fresh air.

Torrisdale Bay is roughly a mile south of Carradale and forms a small, sheltered bay with a pebbly beach. It is overlooked by Torrisdale Castle where visitors can find holiday accomodation and visit the organic tannery if it is open.

Today's fine weather and remarkably clear air allowed us a splendid view across the bay to Carradale Point and the Isle of Arran. Amongst the wildlife on show were Cormorants, Guillemots, Eider Ducks, Oyster Catchers, and a few curious seals.
