17-09-12 Donlie McMillan
Ex fisherman (Marie Bhan) sadly died today.

Suddenly but peacefully at home,The Anchorage,Carradale,on the 17th Sept 2012,Donald Brown McMillan (Donlie),in his 82nd year,dearly beloved husband of Mary Betram and a much loved brother,uncle and friend to many.
Service in Saddell and Carradale Church,on Friday 21st September at 1.00pm. Funeral therafter to Brackley Cemetery.Family flowers only please.Donations if desired in lieu of flowers may be made in the Church in aid of the Fishermans Mission and the Church.

I was very sad to hear of the passing of my father’s cousin Donnely. My father (James McMillan) and I visited Carradale a few years back and enjoyed a wonderful visit with Donnely and Mary in their home. Although this was the first and last time I met Donnely he left me with a lasting impression of a kind man. I think fondly of that visit often. I know he will be dearly missed by Mary and all who knew him.
