[Carradale Fire-Fighters]Carradale's fire-fighters were kept busy yesterday afternoon as the gloriously sunny weather brought out hordes of cars to be washed.

At least 28 cars were given a late summer sluicing, raising more than £140 for the Fire Brigades Benevolent Fund, and Carradale Activity Play Park group raised more than £70 from the sale of teas, coffees and cakes. (Very nice chocolate cake, by the way!)


The fishing boat featured in one of our Bygone Days section photos has been identified. CN25 was called The Irma. Many thanks for that.
