There's a Whist Drive in the village hall tonight., from 7:30pm. All are welcome. There are prizes for first, second, third, and last places as well as a raffle. Entrance is £2/person and includes tea and biscuits.
Here's a picture of one of the regular visitors to our birdtable: a Chaffinch.
In the last week or so more and more of these pretty little birds have been appearing, filling trees and bushes with activity as the nesting season gets underway.
There was more aerial activity yesterday morning. We were down at the harbour when this Chinook helicopter came down the coast north of Carradale before cutting across Hill 60 at low altitude.
Presumably it belongs to the RAF and had come from Machrihanish.
