Kintyre Initiative: Last weeks meeting to discuss the Kintyre Initiative and what it could mean for the area was, by all reports, very successful. The scheme is to be piloted in three communities across Scotland and there is strong support for making sure Kintyre is one of them. The 'Their Past/Your Future' exhibition opened at the Victoria Hall in Campbeltown on Saturday and will run until 19 November 2005, opening from Monday to Saturday 10am-4pm. The exhibition explores the effects and involvement of Kintyre in the Second World War. Admission is free.
