16-09-05 Bobbly Jucks Back
As the summer season draws towards autumn there are number of events going on in and around Carradale and Campbeltown.

The weekend of 24/25 September 2005 is going to be very busy time in Carradale.

On Saturday afternoon we have Carradale's annual Duck Race down on the river. The ducks race along the river with prizes for the winners, and a BBQ afterwards.

Later in the afternoon Carradale AFC are playing Northend Thistle AFC from the Isle of Arran up at the Wellpark Field. Kick-off is at 2:15pm. This is a return match for the team's recent victorious trip across to Arran.

On the evening of the 24th is the concert by The Hugh Trowsers, the Wild Sarachs, and others in aid of Carradale AFC. Tickets for this are now fully sold-out.		[Click for Rubber Duck Land]
On the following Sunday there will be a car boot sale at the school from 1pm till 4pm. Stalls cost £5.00 and if the weather is inclement the sale will be held in the school hall instead.
A final note from the football team. Nonny tells me they're collecting the Tesco sports equipment vouchers so if you have any spare then they'd be very grateful. There's a collection box in The Glen or just catch anyone connected with the team if you see them.
