16-05-05 Alls Quiet on the Kintyre Front
The 60s and 70s Night at The Glen on Saturday was a great success, I'm told, with upwards of 80 people present at the peak. I myself missed it, having fallen asleep in front of the telly - well I had been kayaking all day! Apparently I missed all the fun.
The closing date for applications to the EKCC Windfarm Trust for grant assistance passed at the weekend. I gather there have been a good number of applications which will be deliberated and decided upon after the next EKCC meeting at the beginning of June.
The fine weather continues to bath Kintyre in sunshine. Hopefully the webcam is doing it some justice. I'd like to move the camera around a bit to show more variety than just the scene towards the sea. Deer Hill should be a nice view. Unfortunately the view up the glen will be badly affected by the setting sun.
Being a network/IP camera I can locate it more or less wherever I can get a network cable to it. We'll see what happens tomorrow - maybe I'll find time to get up in the loft with a screwdriver...
Don't forget the meeting at the sports pavilion tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 7:30pm. Very important, especially if you've kids in the village.
Oh, and I've been emailed with information following Margaret Hine's query about an old friend that lived in Torrisdale. This has been forwarded on to her. Many thanks.
