The Campbeltown registered fishing boat Amy Harris 111 got into difficulties off Arran today and sent out a Mayday.The vessel is owned by Campbeltown fisherman John Galbraith and was skippered by Carradale's James Tait Rennie.All four crewmen are safe and well thanks to the recue helicopter 177 Gannet and Campbeltown Lifeboat.

Amy Harris 111 tied up at Campbeltown quay being assessed for fire damage.The vessel was towed in by Campbeltown fishing boat Atlas skippered by Andrew Harrison and the fire was extinguished by Campbeltowns Fire and Rescue. Extensive fire and smoke damage has been done below deck,engine room,accomodation cabin and hold area's.
