Today the weather has been foul. There really isn't any other word for it. It must be so disappointing for people visiting the area, such as 'LandroverRoger' from the Kintyre Forum, to wake up to another day of non-stop rain. Early birds or golfers might have spotted a nautical visitor to Carradale this morning, as the Northern Lighthouse Board's vessel NLV Pole Star paid us a visit to service the Cruban Rock Buoy. The Cruban Buoy marks the position of a rocky pinnacle and has for many years been the symbol for Carradale Golf Club, the name of a bar in the village, and gaelic for crab. |
