15-07-07 Ashbank Arrivals
The new owners of The Ashbank Hotel have been here for two weeks now and last night we met there with some friends to sample their cooking, and I'm pleased to give them an excellent report.

Sisters Fiona and Tracey Lavery are originally from Scotland but have spent their recent years in Manchester, before settling on Carradale.

The night we were there, Saturday, the place was pretty much full the whole time with both people staying in the hotel and village residents alike.

The food was well-cooked and served promptly, with friendly and efficient service.

We'll definitely be going back again and are happy to recommend it to anyone.

Also in the news recently, local hotel and restaurant Dunvalanree at Port Righ got a brief yet enthusiastic mention in The Guardian's '10 Unusual Places to Stay' guide.
