A lovely wee man, lost but not forgotten ! Condolences to the Ramsay family . Lindsay & Jim MacGregor.

It was with a real feeling of regret that I read today on the Goat of John Ramsay's death. I knew John since we were boys (although he is a few years younger than me) and like his Father, Willie, was always laughing and always a pleasure to meet just like many of our contemporaries in the old Carradale. Unfortunately, I will just have returned from Inverness, and will be unable to attend the funeral but I send my deepest condolences to Jeanette and the family. Only this afternoon I was reading Angus Martin's 'Fish and Fisherfolk' and on the cover, as you know, is the Adoration, a fitting memorial to John.

Sorry to learn of Johns death. When on holiday, it was always a pleasure meeting John and having a conversation with him. We would talk about fishing,the Lodge,you name it.

My sincere sympathy to all the family.
