11-02-11 Martins After War Memories
Martin Mears from the Shore Road sent in the following photos.
I thought you might be interested in these photos. After the war my father bought the Grey Must from the Admiralty for £4000. Before the war it
belonged to the Guiness family and in the war it was used as a Dan buoy layer through minefields. I worked with my father for two years and then we
took it to the Mediterranean and ran charters before selling it in 1950. The last pic is me aged 17!!!.............Thanks Martin for your childhood memories.
