10-06-10 Explosion North Of Harbour
The bomb disposal team arrived today to dispose of a bit of ordnance washed ashore.

Mr Eric Norman from the Shore road reported seeing a object on the shoreline near the shark factory. Calling the COASTGUARD on 999 who in turn paged the local team to investigate and they identified it as Mod ordnance.The COASTGUARD Op's room at Greenock contacted the BOMB DISPOSAL TEAM (OED) at Faslane who tasked a team arriving at 4.00pm Thursday afternoon.They attached some explosive to it and it was disposed of with a loud bang a little later.For more info on the Navy Bomb Disposal Team click HERE.
