09-11-10 Heavy Rain And Stormy Winds Batter The Country

Carradale got its share overnight Sunday and into Monday with a deep low causing havoc everywhere.

Heavy rain caused severe flooding of the river with some fields having their fences submerged below Dippen farm and with the south/southeast winds Waterfoot took its toll.Big tides caused flooding,demolished sea defence walls and washed large chunks of the river bank away.Flotsum and jetsum was deposited all over the place, in gardens and on the road.
