09-06-06 Good Sports
It was Carradale Primary School's sports day this afternoon, on probably the hottest day of the year so far. There was a good turnout of parents and friends. [Carradale School Sports Day]
[Carradale School Sports Day]The fun started at 1:30pm with a selection of races including Bean Bags, Mini-Obstacle Course, Three-Legged race, and Egg and Spoon. All school years took part, including the pre-school/nursery.

There was a short break halfway through the afternoon during which cold drinks and lollies were given to the children whilst the adults gorged themselves on caffeine and cakes. I gather the raffle alone raised over £90!

Suitably refreshed, the fun continued. The parents' Egg and Spoon race was particularly well supported and congratulations to Stuart who steamed-ahead to take an early lead which he held right to the end.

Finally a quick update on the Fun Run last month. Nearly all the sponsor money is in now and the total stands at more than £440 for PTA funds, which is an excellent result. Remember this money is to go towards providing transport for the school children to attend events outwith the immediate locality.
