Hot off the presses!

A BBC Press Release issued today reveals local piper Lorne MacDougall has made it through to the final of the BBC Scotland 'Young Traditional Musician Award 2009'.

This is a very prestigous award and the ultimate winner will get a chance to perform at an international music festival, cut a CD, and be given a year's membership of the Musician's Union.

The final will be held in Glasgow on 1 February 2009, during the Celtic Connections Festival.
