[Carradale AFC vs Southend AFC 06/08/05]It was Carradale AFC's first home match in recent years this afternoon and I'm pleased to report they beat Southend AFC soundly with 4 goals to 2.

The weather was gloriously sunny for what turned out to be a hard-fought match with Carradale's valiant goal-keeper being floored at one point.

Both sides fought right up until the final whistle with Southend bringing the score back to a nail-biting 3-2 for a time before Carradale hammered-home their final goal.

Goal-scorers for Carradale were Travis, Alan Robertson, Duncan McAuley, and Robbie Paterson. (Apologies for any spelly glitches.)

The turnout of supporters was note-worthy and it was a pleasure to see so many people supporting their local team.
