The Italian Night at the Network Centre went well, I'm told. So well in fact that they're hoping to lay on a whole series of themed food nights over the coming months. Well done to all involved, both in organising and supporting the night. Meanwhile regular visitor to Carradale, Gordon Goldie from Refrew, has been showing off an unusual fish he caught just off the Bay. He identifies it as a Long-spined Sea Scorpion and whilst not poisonous the spines do contain an anti-coagulant which means if you get spiked by one then it doesn't stop bleeding. Nasty. It was sufficiently unusual that the BBC Website decided to feature it too. (Picture 5) |
