04-09-07 Freecycling Kintyre
You may or may not be aware of the Freecycle project, whose mission statement reads "Our mission is to build a worldwide gifting movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources & eases the burden on our landfills while enabling our members to benefit from the strength of a larger community."

I was recently told that there is now a Freecycle group for Kintyre, and sure enough there is. You can find it by pointing your webbrowser at the following link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/freecyclekintyre

Amongst the items currently looking for new homes are 26 surplus school desks in a choice of three colours - red, green, and yellow - from Carradale Primary School.

You'll need to join the Freecycle group for more details, or perhaps contact the school office directly.

--- Fit Kids ---

Speaking of things at the school, or not in this case, I'm informed there'll be no Fit Kids session again this week. :(

The problem appears to be because of the aforesaid desks which are currently occupying the school hall where Fit Kids normally takes place.

The sooner the school gets rid of the spare desks the sooner we'll get our Fit Kids back again!
