The dust is still settling after yesterdays Scottish Parliamentary and local council elections.

From reports on the BBC news website it seems there were lots of ballot papers either spoiled or incorrectly completed.

In Edinburgh one man went wild and attacked the ballot boxes, whereas Barra's ballot boxes couldn't be collected because the helicopter chartered to do so was grounded in Aberdeen. You'd have thought they could have found one on the west coast somewhere.


[Carradale AFC]Meanwhile back in the Dale the football team have a match tonight against Argyll Athletic AFC, based in Ardrishaig. This match was originally scheduled to be played away but due to there being no available pitch it will now be played on the Well Park Field, Carradale. Kick-off is set for 7pm.


Finally for this morning, today is celebrated by the sort of people that celebrate these sort of things as being Star Wars Day, so 'May the 4th be with you.'
