04-04-09 Carradale Drama At Oban
Shop For Charity at the Lorn Drama Festival.

Carradale Drama Club were one of nineteen one-act plays from all over Argyll to perform this week between Mon 30th-April 3rd 2009 at the Corran Halls Oban.

The play Shop For Charity by Charles Mander was performed fantastically by the cast and was highly commended by the adjudicator Richard Ellis.

Myself being there as one of the stage crew thought they were in with a winning streak, but sadly not to be as there were some other good plays.

The cast did get individual mentions for there specific parts and on a brighter note they came away with a new trophy Stage management Award for team work.

This is a outstanding trophy in the shape of a spotlight as you will see in the photo and as mentioned is new this year and was presented to the Director

Mary MacAllister Hall.A mention also to Donald MacAllister Hall (stage manager)and one of the cast along with Sue Stansfield,Shelagh Cameron,Pauline Burrows,Morag Allan and

stage crew,Bryan Burrows,Malcolm Stansfield and Johnny Durnan.

They perform again at Ardrishaig 22nd April( Mid Argyll Festival) and again in Carradale on the 22nd May 2009.

Some photos taken at the afternoon rehearsals.
