04-04-07 Bungle in the Jungle
With Easter this weekend it's time for the children's annual Easter Bunny Hunt, organised by the Forestry Commission.

Meet up at the Network Centre from 11am with the last entries taken at 2:30pm. The hunt takes you up into the hills above Carradale where they can explore the woods and seek out sweet rewards. Entry is free and stout footwear and suitable clothing for the weather is advisable.

Afterwards, why not stop off at the Tearoom for a slice of one of Josie's excellent home baked cakes or hot and cold snacks.

Quick reminder for tomorrow night's East Kintyre Community Council meeting in the village hall at 7pm.

The meeting will be followed by a meeting of the East Kintyre Windfarm Trust who will be considering grant applications.

Finally a quick local notice. Argyll and Bute Council say there'll be no domestic rubbish collection this Friday due to the Bank Holiday.

There seems to be a bit of confusion over whether the next collection will be on Wednesday or Friday of next week. The council's website says Friday but the flyers they've been distributing say Wednesday. I'm told they will take additional bags of rubbish if you're wheelie bin is (like mine) already full.

[Presumably when they introduce fortnightly collections we'll have to go three or four weeks at Easter? That'll be nice.]
