03-10-13 Vote For The Ardsheil Hotel

Campbeltown's whisky bar needs your votes.

As some of you may be well already know, the Ardshiel Hotel are currently in the running for the prestigious Scottish Field Whisky Bar of the Year Award. It is a fantastic achievement to make the Top 10 as judged by a panel of whisky experts but now the final vote is down to the public. Realistically, they are up against some fairly major establishments in the cities so I thought I would ask if you would be willing to vote for The Ardshiel, the only bar to be nominated in Argyll, as this would be a great boost not just for the hotel but for the whole Campbeltown and surrounding area.

There are two ways to vote:

2.) By emailing your choice to whisky@scottishfield.co.uk

For those of you who have never actually been there the whisky bar at The Ardshiel is genuinely something to behold, with almost 500 different malt whiskies on display (including many rarities) at any one time and getting on for a further 500 in storage. It is a unique collection which is lovingly curated by the owners who are always on hand with expert suggestions and tasting notes to ensure that everyone from the whisky connoisseur to first-time dabbler gets the most out of their visit.

The closing date is TOMORROW (Friday 4th) and at the moment they are currently in 1st place but this does not mean they are safe by any means! They need as many votes as possible in the next 24 hours to ensure they are crowned the worthy winners so please please vote and pass onto anyone else who you think may vote - it only takes seconds! The response from the locals has been amazing these past few days with people helping to spread the word so fingers crossed we will see a good result tomorrow.
