The annual Duck Race to raise funds for upkeep of Saddell and Carradale Church again attracted a large crowd on a lovely sunny day. Hosted yearly at Mike and Moira's there was plenty to eat with the bbq's,sea food,soup,refreshments,baking stall,chefs galore to keep you happy.
There was games for the kids,face painting by Elizabeth Vischer and some bagpipe music by Charlotte Semple and her friend.Then there was the highlight of the day with Ceri Strang piping everyone down to the river for the release of the ducks.Duncan Semple scattered the bag of ducks (327? or more) piped down river by Ceri and watched by our river wardens Wum,Alister,Alec and joined by Duncan.
There was a grand raffle afterwards before annoucing the duck winners.... details of the list of winners will be posted later when I receive them..................The committee would like to thank everyone for their support on the day with £4500 being raised.......Some quick snaps on the day........Click on pics to enlarge.........
