Carradale was in the news this week after holidaymakers in an inflatable dinghy had to be rescued after being carried out of Carradale Bay and a mile into the Kilbrannan Sound. Campbeltown's RNLI lifeboat and a Royal Navy helicopter were scrambled but before they arrived at the scene one of Carradale's fishing boats rescued the pair. Whilst Carradale Bay is a very safe spot for messing about in the water this story shows just how easy it is to get into trouble and could easily have ended in tragedy. | ||
