Glen Tyler, of Scottish Natural Heritage writes from the Shetland Isles to ask for help with a conundrum. At the National Nature Reserve on the island of Noss he has come across this sign attached to a shepherd's hut. It clearly reads "Waterfoot Torrisdale" and seems too big a coincidence for there not to be some link to our own Waterfoot and Torrisdale, by Carradale. Does anyone have any ideas how this came to find its way to the Northern Isles? |
