May be the last photo under Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service.
As from 1 april 2013 we shall transfer from Strathclyde Fire And Rescue to Scottish Fire And Rescue Service.This photo will be published in a book about Strathclyde Fire And Rescue on what part the Carradale Volunteer and other units play within Strathclyde Fire and Rescue.The book is being published to commemorate SFR and shall be available soon.

I say,as someone living far away, that this will be the death of the fire service (and the police). Who thinks that centralisation is the answer? rather than localisation?. Never.
