We'd like to welcome the new owners to the village and look forward to getting to know them. The Glen Bar has switched into full summer mode and as of this week will no longer be closed on Tuesdays. This arrangement usually runs through the height of the summer. The Cruban Bar, of course, is already open seven days a week. |
| Sports news: Carradale AFC beat Argyll Athletic AFC on Friday evening with 2 goals to nil up at Ardrishaig. This was despite only being able to field 10 men, so well done guys! Carradale's home match against Southend AFC last Saturday ended in a four nil win to the visitors however Southend were subsequently stripped of their points at a hearing after it was confirmed they had fielded an illegal player, despite warnings. Tsk! Tsk! Play the game, guys... Carradale Cricket Club's first match in nine years received a very nice write-up in both The Oban Times and The Campbeltown Courier this week.
